About this page
This page documents how people consent to receive text messages from Funlet. It is provided in compliance with the requirements of US wireless carriers, Twilio's A2P 10DLC and RCS messaging policies, and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
Who Funlet sends messages to
Funlet sends text messages (SMS and RCS) only to two categories of recipients:
- Organizers — people who have signed up for Funlet and chosen to provide a phone number for account-related notifications.
- Invitees — people who an organizer has invited to an event, either by adding their contact directly or by sharing a Crew Link that the invitee has chosen to follow.
How organizers consent
Organizers consent to receive messages from Funlet when they provide a phone number during account setup or in their profile settings. Providing a phone number is optional. Funlet works without a phone number; organizers who choose not to provide one will not receive any text messages.

How invitees consent — direct add by an organizer
When an organizer adds an invitee to a crew or event with that invitee's phone number, Funlet sends an initial message to the invitee identifying the organizer, the event, and how to opt out. The invitee's first message includes:
- The organizer's name
- The event name and basic detail
- Funlet's brand identification
- Instructions to reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for support
If the invitee does not want to receive further messages, they reply STOP and Funlet immediately stops sending to that number.

How invitees consent — joining through a Crew Link
Organizers can share a public Crew Link (funlet.ai/c/[token]) with people they want to add to a crew. When someone visits a Crew Link, they see a page that describes the crew, identifies the organizer, and asks them to provide their name and phone number to join.
The consent page includes:
- The organizer's name and the crew name
- Plain-language description of what they will receive (“You'll receive event invitations from [organizer name] via Funlet.”)
- Required checkbox: “I agree to receive text messages from Funlet about events organized by [organizer name]. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
- Required checkbox: “I agree to Funlet's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.”
- Submit button (disabled until both checkboxes are checked)
The phone-number field is the only required field aside from name. We collect no other information at the point of consent.

Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on event activity. Typical patterns:
- Organizers: 1–4 messages per event they organize (sent confirmation, response notifications, event-day reminder)
- Invitees: 1–2 messages per event they're invited to (invitation, optional nudge if they haven't responded)
Funlet does not send promotional or marketing messages. All messages relate to a specific event the recipient has been invited to or is organizing.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Funlet does not charge recipients for messages they receive. Carriers may charge their standard rates.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any Funlet text message. You will receive one final confirmation message confirming you have been opted out, and no further messages from Funlet.
Opt-out keywords also recognized: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE.
Opt-outs apply to all Funlet messages from the originating number, regardless of which organizer is sending them.
